His responsibilities span consumer banking, mortgage lending, auto finance, credit cards, digital transformation, marketing, client experience, analytics, and innovation.
Widely respected for his forward-thinking leadership, Wilson has played a significant role in helping modernize banking services while improving how customers interact with financial institutions in an increasingly digital world. His leadership has helped position Truist as a major force in consumer banking innovation and customer experience.
Wilson’s career has included leadership roles across retail banking, commercial banking, wealth management, mortgage operations, digital transformation, community development, and fintech investments. He also helped guide organizations through multiple acquisitions, including the historic merger that created Truist in 2019.
His impact extends beyond banking. Wilson serves on the Board of Directors of Signet Jewelers and serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he continues supporting education, leadership development, and community advancement.
Among his many accomplishments, Wilson was recognized as American Banker’s Digital Banker of the Year and has been repeatedly named among Savoy Magazine’s Top Black Executives, recognizing his influence as one of the nation’s leading corporate executives.
